Stores that accept ZASH- its happening...

Buy a bag of mielie meal using ZASH!

Dear ZIMBOCASH Family

The most popular questions we get from people is, where can I use my ZASH? Which vendors use ZASH in trade?

This is the crucial question of our network. Without vendors, there can be no buyers. Without peer-to-peer transactions, it does not work. This is a classic two sided network problem and it needs, as economists will tell you, an “igniting” of the network effect.

To ignite the network, we need a spark. And we believe we have found that spark.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with a Zimbabewean company called ZiTenga, backed by an African market maker. The ZiTenga team are piloting a vendor cash-out  in Njube, Bulawayo.

As part of a pilot vendor program, ZiTenga will provide vendors who accept ZASH with a cash-out option. ZASH will be pegged to the US dollar with a rate of USD 1 = 50 ZASH.

As part of the pilot, if you are a ZASH user in Njube, you will be able to purchase a 10kg bag of mealie meal each day using your ZASH.  Good news!!

This pilot is still in process, and we will keep you posted with more details as the pilot develops – including the name of approved stores,  locations and other details.

If you are a vendor for goods (particularly agricultural and food goods) in Njube, you can apply to join the vendor cash-out program here.

The first ten vendors get ZIMBOCASH t-shirts!

Team news
A few days ago, we announced a change in our team. One of our senior leaders, Laswet Savadye is stepping down to pursue other interests, and to spend more time with his family. You can read more about it in the announcement here.

Laswet has been an incredible part of our team and we will miss him indeed. However, ZIMBOCASH is much more than one person and Laswet leaves behind a large team of people who are passionately committed to what we are doing.

Tech update
We have recently deployed our changes to our app. We have implemented a new QR code scanning function – which you will love. Download the ZASH app so you can make payment at the point of sale using the QR code. If you are a vendor, you can also print out your QR code so that it is easy for buyers to scan and pay.

We have also implemented several on-going security upgrades. This is laying the platform for us to activate accounts for the diaspora. We are also working on a BUY NOW service where you will be able to buy more ZASH easily in-app with Zimbabwe dollars, US dollars, South African rand and bitcoin.

There are a few other very cool things which we cannot reveal just yet.

**Limited time to verify your old accounts**
If you previously signed up, but have not verified your account, you need to do so now. Once we enable the diaspora, you will get one more month to verify your account with your ID.

If you have not yet verified your ID by that date, you will lose your old ZASH allocations.

Thereafter, you will receive the 400 ZASH sign-up reward, as well as rewards currently being earned by users.

Vendor applications
If you live in Njube, Bulawayo and would like to become an Approved Vendor, you can apply here.

If you own a store outside of Njube but would like to stay updated with the program as it develops, please apply here.

Final words
Zimbabwe is in the throes of a currency collapse with inflation rates rising fast. People are really struggling. We are passionately committed to establishing a sound money system that will transform Zimbabwe.

If you have not yet signed up to receive your free ZASH, please do so at our website:
